Travel: World Latte Art Championship 2015 @Gothenburg
The World Latte Art Championship highlights artistic expression in a competition platform that challenges the barista in an on-demand performance.
We were proudly selected to be the official competition cups of the event. Having the opportunity to watch these world class artists take stage, and doing extreme difficult latte art with ease was mind-blowing.
Caleb Cha from Australia won it all, followed by XueChao Wang from China taking 1st runner up. It was a great event, thanks WLAC, World Coffee Events, SCAE and the city of Gothenburg of such a memorial trip.
Overall results:
Champion: CALEB CHA, Cafenatics, Australia
2nd: XUECHAO WANG, Jiangbeileran Coffee, China
3rd: KYEONG-WOO JUNG, Corea Coffee Belt, South Korea
4th: MAO NAGURA, Fonz, Japan
5th: ARNON THITIPRASERT, Ristr8tto, Thailand
6th: HONG-SHENG LIAO, Café Moment, Taiwan
You will find our official cups in the souvenir counter, flow like the champs.
One thing about coffee events is you get to meet people from around the world who speak the same coffee language. Just met these new passionate friends from Poland.
And this amazing meal by SK Mat & Manniskor, thats so our kind of style, worth going back to Gothenburg just for this.
The food market in Gothenburg was pretty awesome. You always hear about Nordic's living standard is high, but you only feel it when you see how they sell food in the market. Everything was treated perfectly, seriously, butcher or fish monk. They are professionals and took their job seriously. Its easy to get these thick-ass asparagus and age in bone rib eye in a casual market.
